Eric Ward
Assistant Commissioner, Strategic Initiatives and External Relations, Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario
Eric Ward is assistant commissioner for strategic initiatives and external relations with the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario. Immediately prior to joining the IPC, Ward was the senior director at Policy Horizons Canada, the federal government's center for strategic foresight. His career with the Government of Canada also spanned law, policy and management. Ward practiced privacy and information law as counsel to Health Canada and the Public Health Agency of Canada and as senior counsel at the Department of Justice's Center for Information and Privacy Law. He also directed machinery of government and legal operations teams at the Privy Council Office
